Lord, we thank you because you have uniquely honored those who are poor. We pray that this kingdom reality would sustain the poor in Spain, may they know that they are honored by You. May they not pursue the fading things of this world, but that which cannot spoil or fade. May their every need be met in You. We pray this in Jesus’ name.
Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.Â
